ABOUT
David Jung is a filmmaker working at the intersection of elevated genre and prestige storytelling. His most recent work, the hit docu-series The Tailor of Sin City (AMC/Sundance), has further cemented his reputation for bold, character-driven storytelling that cuts through the noise.
Jung launched his career under the mentorship of the legendary Roger Corman, quickly establishing himself as a writer before moving into the studio system at Walt Disney Studios and Mandeville Films. By his early twenties, he was already serving as Vice President of Feature Films at Film Roman—a rare early rise that signaled both creative instinct and industry confidence. He later served as Head of Development for producer Lynda Obst at Paramount Pictures.
As a writer, Jung has developed and sold projects across nearly every major studio, including work involving Clint Eastwood and Warner Bros. Interactive. His feature debut as a writer/director, The Possession of Michael King, was a commercially successful indie film that made money and built a loyal global audience—establishing Jung as a filmmaker who delivers both creatively and financially.
His award-winning short ROAM built on that momentum, winning Best Director, Best Short Film, and multiple Best Sci-Fi awards across the international festival circuit.
Jung is currently developing a slate of elevated, high-concept projects for film and streaming, while expanding an original IP universe across novels, graphic novels, and a comic book franchise he co-created with the legendary Stan Lee.
